Laura. Condominium. April 27th , 2017.
My grandmother and I would go see movies, and we'd come back to the apartment - we had a one-room apartment in Hollywood - and I would kind of lock myself in this little dressing room area with a cracked mirror on the door and act out what I had just seen. -Carol Burnett-
Penang― Pearl of an Eastern, a paradise for those who adore the good life and the sunshine throughout the year. Miles per mile of golden beaches. The projects we looked at here are situated along use renowned Tanjung Bungah ― Batu Ferringhi shore, just 10 minutes to the heart of Georgetown and 25 minutes to the airport.
As we mentioned before, the project is geared towards being ‘Hotel condominiums‘ because of the current low demand. This new concept has 2 options — it allows the buyer to participate in a guaranteed returns leasing investment package. (The apartments will be managed just as though a hotel suite — leased out on a long, medium or short–term basis). Alternatively, one could also buy a unit tailored to sufficient one’s family′s needs.
The imprimis option works like this ― you order a Unit as an investment and then lease it to the developer with guaranteed returns.
The second ― short, medium and long‐term rentals — includes full furnishings, housekeeping and laundry services, a business center and all the other perks of living in a hotel. ″The bonus is that one can come here on business and bring the whole family along without incurring extra cost, as the apartment is rented on a per–unit basis. Housing an entire family in a hotel can be a costly business″.
Both Desa Mar Vista and Horizon Towers have full facilities with the added advantages of being on freehold land and having sea‐view rooms at an elevation of 150 feet. Condominiums built out natural hill sites are rare in Singapore whereas practically all the ten condominium projects in Penang have this ‵elevated‵ advantage. The view is panoramic ― an undisturbed skyline of Mount Erskine and Pulau Tikus (Mouse Island).
Admittedly, the sizes of the two projects are much smaller in proportion than those in Singapore. Horizon Towers has 52 three‐bedroom l5–storey apartments and 4 maisonette—style penthouses.
Desa Mar Vista boasts some 4l4 units contained within 2 tower blocks (22 storeys high) and 3 low‐rise blocks.
The architects view their projects as resort–like apartments with all trimmings. Horizon Towers has a distinct ‘Townhouse living‘ image, while Desa Mar Vista, which combines maisonettes, walk–up and walk—down apartments, attics and ground floor apartments, is geared more towards the family.
